<p>The annual Bestmed TuksRace is set to kick-off on Saturday 15 February 2020 at 05:30am from the University of Pretoria Hillcrest Sports Campus. All standard IAAF (ASA in South Africa) affiliated marathons, and races longer than 42.2 km count as qualifying races, provided that the racecourse is officially measured, and the race is officially timed. Bestmed TuksRace does provide all that you need to qualify for the Two Oceans race as well as the Comrades Marathon for 2020.</p>

<p>The Bestmed TuksRace invites members of the community, as well as running club members to tackle this race and set the pace for the running calendar in northern Gauteng. The programme offers much choice which suits the needs the serious runners as well as the novice who is looking to improve their health by being more active. On offer is the full marathon (42.2km), the half-marathon (21.1km), or a warmup for future longer marathons in the 5km or 10km races. Drag the teenagers and the younger kids away from their devices and enjoy a fun family day out, by entering the 1km fun run/walk.</p>

<p>Despite the rain on race day 2019, over 5430 enthusiastic athletes showed up and finished the race. The Bestmed TuksRace believes that the number of entrants will grow in 2020 as individuals commit to a healthy and active lifestyle.</p>

<p>Athletes’ friends and family members can be part of the step by step action while they enjoy live screenings of the race, free biometric screenings, music and live entertainment, great food, lucky draw prizes and the great vibe at the hospitality centre.</p>

<p>The Bestmed TuksRace is generous when rewarding participants and winners for their efforts where besides prize money made available for each distance and age category, special prizes will also be awarded for each distance. Lucky winners will be selected by the event organisers and each winner will receive their prize money via electronic transfer.</p>
