Showcasing excellence in Retirement Fund governance and operation

It is again that time of year where the Institute of Retirement Funds Africa (IRFA) showcases industry achievements from across the continent and provides  valuable feedback from industry and subject matter experts and thought leaders.

Entries are now open for the 2019  IRFA Best Practices Industry awards where Retirement Funds and service providers  throughout Africa can test their strategy and programmes against acknowledged best practice and be recognized in the industry and their peers.

IRFA President Enos Ngutshane notes that the programme ranks against local and international benchmarks and is endorsed and supported by the retirement sector both in South Africa and north of our borders.  “IRFA’s  aim in presenting the programme has always remained consistent, to surface and share industry best practices for the benefit of members of retirement funds, Trustees and Management Boards. The Institute supports the programme by benchmarking and research, which determines awards categories, judging processes and criteria and welcomes your entry in the process.”

Best practice certificates will be awarded for entrants meeting the judging criteria in the following areas of excellence:-

<li>Governance</li><li>Transformation</li><li>Stakeholder Engagement and Education</li><li>Investment Practices</li><li>Trustee Development</li><li>Financial Management and Reporting</li>

</ul>

In addition to awarding Best Practices in the six areas of excellence  Gold Standard Trophies are awarded to entrants to who excel in best practices across the board. <strong>Entries close on the 16<sup>th</sup> January, 2020</strong>.
