<p>Last year, in what was an exciting first for the financial services industry, Foord Asset Management published a beautiful children’s picture book about saving and investing. The book, “More Than Enough”, has been translated into three languages and is now available in isiXhosa, isiZulu, Afrikaans and English.</p>

<p><em>More Than Enough</em> is a story about a young squirrel who sets out with her mother one morning to collect acorns. Beautifully illustrated, this simple story is about acorns and why our squirrel family collects them—to eat, to enjoy, to share, to save and to grow for the years to come.</p>

<p>The book is the first in a planned series, created by Foord’s communications manager Christina Castle, which targets the very youngest South Africans in an education initiative about saving and investing. </p>

<p><em>“Foord is passionate about teaching children (and their parents) the importance of investing for the long term,”</em> says Castle. <em>“Because we wanted to make this book accessible to all South African children it was essential that the book be translated. Children need to read in their home languages.”</em></p>

<p>A passion project, Foord has been distributing <em>More Than Enough</em> to libraries and schools throughout the country and to anyone who would like a copy. Foord has also partnered with the South African non-profit organisation, Wordworks, to distribute 40 000 copies to Grades R and 1 learners in the Western Cape. </p>
