Water, water everywhere…..

Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink. This is the reality that many people have recently had to deal with when destructive floods hit KwaZulu-Natal and also when parts of Johannesburg and Queberha ran out of water due to bad planning and lack of maintenance.

Shifts in weather patterns, lack of maintenance and ill-prepared response services all contributed to the various crises and prevailing uncertainty about water security.

What does this mean for the insurance industry and its clients? How do we prepare for this? How do we prepare our clients and assist them in managing these risks? What role should the industry and brokers play?
