Genasys Unwraps “Something for Me” – A Christmas Campaign for Burnt-Out Insurance CTOs

"Something for Me" follows last year's viral "Gift of Time" campaign with original music and animation inspired by British festive advertising

Genasys, a global provider of insurance administration software, has launched its 2025 Christmas campaign: “Something for Me”. The short film follows Polly C. Admin, an overwhelmed insurance CTO whose long-awaited tech project finally gets the green light - delivering twelve gifts of modern insurance technology in true festive style.

The campaign follows the journey of Polly, who hasn't slept past 5am in months, as she receives approval for "Project Genasys" and experiences all twelve gifts of modern insurance technology arriving at once.

Created entirely using AI tools including Suno for original music composition, Midjourney and Photoshop for character design, and RunwayML for video animation, the advertisement pays homage to classic British Christmas advertising while addressing a real problem facing insurance technology leaders: legacy systems that drain time and energy.

"Insurance CTOs shouldn't have to be human duct tape for broken systems," said Andre Symes, CEO of Genasys. "When Polly's up at 5am, it's not because she loves early mornings - it's because she's become the workaround for technology that doesn't work. We built our platform to give people like her what they've been sketching on scrap paper for years: systems that actually do the job."

The campaign builds on last year's "The Gift of Time," which featured Lloyd Binder, a frustrated underwriter stuck in the office on Christmas Eve. That campaign resonated widely within the insurance community for its authentic portrayal of administrative burden.

"We created original music, character animation and video for a fraction of what traditional production would have cost," said Ed Halsey, VP of Marketing at Genasys. "In a sector where IT budgets are scrutinised heavily, being able to show what's possible with modern tools at this price point felt like the right message. Technology should multiply what you can do, not drain your resources." The advertisement is structured around the twelve days of Christmas, with each gift representing a core strength or feature of Genasys's policy administration platform - from dashboards and integrations to automation that gives insurance teams their evenings back.
