PSG recognises its top individuals and offices

PSG Konsult, the JSE-listed financial services firm, recognised its top financial practitioners for 2018/19 at its annual conference in Sun City in early May.
PSG, which is 21 years old this year, has the largest network of independent financial advisers in South Africa and Namibia, with 546 wealth advisers and 386 insure advisers as at 28 February 2019. The annual conference seeks to bring together advisers across the PSG network with product provider partners and company management in attendance as well.
<h3><strong>A ticket to the top </strong></h3>
The theme this year was ‘All Aboard’, to commemorate some 21 years of navigating the seas of financial services, recognising top talent over the past financial year. “Being our 21<sup>st</sup> celebration is a milestone, or rite of passage in itself, and we’re very proud of this year’s winners,” said Dan Hugo, CE of Distribution at PSG.
“Our annual awards encourage healthy competition among our vast network of advisers, but while profitability plays a role in the award selection criteria, the extent to which advisers embrace our trusted PSG processes and live our values are also key considerations. These awards are also integral to encouraging the culture of client-centricity and excellence that has earned us the reputation we have built over the last 21 years.”
<h3><strong>And the winners are… </strong></h3>

It is interesting to note that this is the seventh win for the PSG Wealth Irene Sovereign Drive Employee Benefits office, the eleventh win for the Pretoria East office, and the tenth win for Riana Wiese. “Longstanding successes like these prove that PSG is here to stay,” Hugo added. “But while it is important to recognise how far we have come, it’s just as important to look ahead.”
An increasingly complex environment requires teamwork and the support of experts to ensure continued success. Hugo thanked this year’s winners for the part they have played in the PSG journey thus far. “Advisers are facing a challenging environment with lots of regulatory change, volatility and an unpredictable macro-environment. PSG prides itself on being good at adapting to change, but we do not intend resting on our laurels. We know we have to continue working hard to ensure the next 21 years will be equally rewarding,” said Hugo.
<h3><strong>Client-centricity at the core</strong></h3>
Hugo also highlighted the various elements of service that clients expect. “Transparency, value for money, a good client experience and a sense of control are what clients want. Our winners – and the broader PSG network of advisers – understand the importance of meeting these expectations. We’re a client-centric business, and we will continue to put clients first, with a focus on quality products, advice, platforms and service as key.
“These awards, while honouring our top advisers are also in celebration of our clients’ success, and we look forward to continuing to tell this story, always keeping the bigger picture in mind,” Hugo concluded.
