She has been with Discovery for 15 years and hold a BSC Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Pretoria. She started out her career on the development side of solutions but she quickly realised that while technology can normally do anything asked of it – the questions being asked were centered around the technology and not the business. This caused a great shift in her thinking and she started gravitating towards the requirements for solutions and working on making them more applicable to the requirement and not a pre-determined platform or technology. Vicky believes that all solutions with automation are digitizing, but the drive to self-service has been a great challenge and requires understanding the client, not only the needs of your own business.
