SanlamAllianz has won the African Insurer Trophy at the AFIS Awards 2025. The award was accepted on behalf of CEO Heinie Werth by Lizelle Nel, Executive: Governance, Risk & Compliance Management, during an event held in Casablanca on 3 Monday, October 2025.

According to the organisers of this prestigious event, the African Insurer Trophy “celebrates those redefining Africa’s insurance sector as a pillar of economic integration and honours the forward-thinking leaders who are driving this change. By offering innovative products, improving risk management and prioritising inclusion, these leaders are establishing protection systems that empower individuals, businesses and communities across the continent.”
