The cybersecurity arm of Digital Solutions Group (DSG), Digital Resilience (DR) will serve as the system integrator combining Securonix’s industry-leading SOAR capabilities with DSG’s state-of-the-art SOC.

Leading South African technology service provider Digital Solutions Group (DSG) today announced a strategic partnership with US cybersecurity leader Securonix, Inc. Under the terms of the partnership, DSG will provide system integration and support services to Securonix through its Digital Resilience division, enabling customers to leverage Digital Resilience's expertise in cyber-security and integrated solutions through a seamless implementation process paired with comprehensive support throughout their cybersecurity journey.

The announcement comes amid soaring cyberattack volumes, with cybercrime predicted to cost the global economy $9.5-trillion this year.

Locally, cyberattacks have gained prominence as a series of high-profile data breaches compromised the personal and private information of millions of South Africans, exposing them to an array of cyberattack types.

A 2023 report found that South Africa ranked fifth in the world for highest density of cybercrime, with 56 out of one million internet users falling victim to some form of cyberattack. The CSIR had previously revealed that cybercrime costs the South African economy R2.2-billion per year.

Digital Resilience aims to enhance its security portfolio through this partnership by integrating Securonix's robust Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capabilities with Digital Resilience's state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre (SOC), enabling organisations to streamline incident response and relieve pressure on IT teams. In addition, advanced analytics and continuous machine learning empowers users to analyse millions of events in real-time, enabling proactive threat mitigation and informed decision-making.
